Warming up with Ash Catchcum

Hello to all!

Man, it's been a busy past few months for me.

Just a quick recap for those who didn't know, or wonder why the updates have been so scarce on here:
I moved to France and i'm now in art school.

All this really means though is that i'm extremely busy most of the time and this upcoming holiday break is going to be the first time i'll get to relax in...4 months!

Now, why Ash Catchcum?

It's not the first time i've dealt with the cold of winter before, but this will be my first time going through the whole thing. And here, on November 21rst, it snowed. Again, this wasn't new to me, but on that day, I felt it.
This was the first time i missed my home back in the Caribbean, but they've been having shit weather these days too...

meh, Anyway!

I wanted to : 1) Color something to see if I could still manage to have a hybrid work flow ( Pencils, then scan, then Ink and Color digitally) 2) If i could do a quick simple animation, which is something I've always wanted to add to my stuff , and 3) Draw a Sun-Kissed body with Warm colors to make me forget the cold weather XD.

I think I did alright with just a mouse. Paint Tool SAI's line layers can be a godsend for people in my situation (Still no replacement for my tablet's stylus because college life, in other words, i'm broke as hell), but I was mostly worried about the coloring process, but a simple more cell-shade style is doable.  

As usual, all the people who visit my blog get all the versions + commentary  so I hope you enjoyed.

This gives me hope that i could do complete commissions again. Maybe next week?

Lastly, in case i don't reopen commission, if you've checked my Tumblr you'll see that i'm currently working on my first image pack. It's based on the trainers of the Kalos region in pokemon X & Y.

Over there i said i'd reveal the sprites if you could guess what trainer class they are, but since i love my blog faithfuls, I'll reveal that two of them are Monsieur and Tourist trainers.

It should be around 10$ or 15$ for the pack when it comes out and i hope you all look forward to it.

Side note. My stylus for my tablet broke, so Pencil commissions like these are pretty much what i'm limited to for the moment. I bought a mouse and I tried the point and click thing, but it's not really the same, especially when it comes to coloring. Not having pen pressure sensitivity really limits me.

Otherwise, I am in France, like i may (or may not) have mentioned here before, and back in school. It's a lot of work but i'm loving it so far. I hope you are all doing well and that you'll have a happy Halloween!

Hello Everyone!

See? I said i'd update this blog on Twitter didn't I ?

The reason I wanted to make this update is because of...well, a few things. XD

First, the return of my inspiration. Out of curiosity, i googled " Pokemon Bara " :

 As you can see, at the moment i googled that, I was the first link to pop up! as you can imagine, my reaction was a " HOLY SH*T!"

This is the internet after all, so eventually i googled K3rry, and i was even more pleasantly surprised.

I stumbled upon a few blogs and Tumblrs that featured my work. Now as an artist, it's understandable to not like this, as re-posting and illegal use ends up making us watermark happy, but i didn't get that feeling at all.

Pretty much all the sites that featured my work had links to my Y!gallery or Tumblr or Blog.

I'm not saying this to gloat or be full of myself, but it made me happy : ). I often forget that I'm not just doing it for me sometimes and there are people out there that actually really like my work.

So thank you. Seriously. I've seen the comments you've left here, on twitter, even the Y!gallery favs and comments that still kept coming over there even after my long absence... Thank you guys.

Now for the not so exciting life stuff ( well on a Slash site like this one anyway ) Quite a few things have been going on.

I got contact lenses for the first time, I start Driving school, and this Biggest news of all is that I GOT INTO AN ART SCHOOL! Which means that i'll be going back to school for the first time in...6 years! I am SUPER EXCITED and it also means that i'll be moving to France. So it's going to be a big change of scenery and pace come Fall this year.

Financial strains have been really heavy though, and that's why I wanted to do cheap and quick commissions.

Speaking of which, the ones that i started a while back are finally done! I'm just waiting on word from my last commissioner and i'll plan on doing a separate post for them.

They are however closed till further notice. I wasn't kidding about my financial situation. I'm not broke, but the instant i get money i goes directly to funding for my school.

So to conclude, work, plus going to driving school, plus entrance fees and doing all the necessary steps to have the smoothest possible transition for my art school ( Going for my Bachelors in 3D Graphics by the way :D), Gym 4 times a week, the cluster fudge of video games that came out in March and almost no time to play them... I've had no time to do what i enjoy the most, which is drawing.

An Update? Street Fighter and Elves!

Hi Everyone.
So i'm going to come right out and say it. I've been an uninspired mess for WEEKS now, and unfortunately I still am.
For those of you who check my blog, please know that I sincerely apologize for taking so long with updates, commissions, request, etc. There's been quite a few events that have been going on in my life of varying significance, needless to say there's been an empty well where my inspiration used to be.
I did manage to churn out a few drawings of course, but it sort of pales in comparison to the speed I was going at before.

For those that check out my tumblr You probably saw a WIP of this. But first I thought I'd share a disappointing fact about it  first and how my artist block turned it into something else almost entirely.

In case you were wondering, this is and was the TRUE WIP. unfortunately my desire to draw a street fighter orgy pic was halted by artist block.

Eventually, I focused only on Guile and Zangief ( which is why the pose looks a bit weird. Mind you I had other plans for this, even this one that would be more focused on these two)

So for you guys to enjoy anyway, here's a, although simplified, pic of Zangief V.S Guile

Along with the naked version of course ( I haven't gone completely depressed and I can still stay on a standard I've set here)

 There you go. Maybe one day I will finish an orgy pic with the street fighter guys, but no promises and certainly not right now when everything is my life is such an odd mess.

Not to get too melodramatic, let's move along.

A while ago, I commissioned an artist known as Szadek, who's y! gallery I would point you towards if the site was not having a PS3 network like downtime, but he HAS started a tumblr (just in time when you think about it) which you can take a look at here : http://szadend.tumblr.com/ .
Anyway, one of the commissions was of an O.C elf of mine whom I haven't drawn in a while and feel like drawing ( I actually did pencil him out one time...*dig* *dig* Found it! *scan*) and this is him

His name is Cullen, here is the sketch I did MUCH later and more recently by the way

Anywho, this was the result.

 I remember him telling me that he didn't quite understand the tattoos, so I decided ( like 6 million years later) to color it in order for him or possibly others later on to understand them.
So here he is with no tats

I really want to breathe life back into my elf characters, even though I love Ghork, Abe, Achaim and all the others that have gotten all the love recently.

Hell I've created so many O.Cs I think it's time I took responsibility for them. And I have a lot of elves ( Blad, Dimitri, Rence, Cullen, Danny, Damir, Kraïm, Zol, and two unamed ones for a total of 10, and that's just the Elves!)

Anyway, let's hope this desire lasts.

On another note, how are you? Care to comment every now and then? That'd be nice. Me? well I've been ok despite all I vaguely touched upon before. Also I'm up to speed on One Piece and I love Fairy Tail :D (the fan service is downright insane in that show).

Despite the somewhat angry undertone of all of this, I've been trying to get myself inspired again, so don't worry. This too shall pass. :]

TM Dig Getaway Brock x Roark!

Hey Guys!

Happy New Year to All! I posted Ghork on the y! gallery, but i'm saving that for another post since i'm working on another drawing of him. As of right now, here's the infamous second drawing i did last year in december and never got to post. It's Brock and Roark:

That's the clean version up there first. The reason I didn't post this is because one minute i loved this drawing, then I hated it, then I was ok with it. Sigh. Finally It was the first time i used IllustStudio, so i was getting the hang of everything. So as right now with and thanks to all the fixes, I used IllustStudio, PaintTool SAI AND photoshop on this drawing XD.

As usually i'm usual, I wonder why there aren't more drawings of this pairing since it makes some sense, as they're both First Gym leaders of Kanto and Hoenn, both Rock type trainers ( Rock type poke puns just write themselves)

Anyway, enjoy the Dirty and Cum soaked versions :D.

I'm not dead! as proof, i brought Sketches !

Lol-tastic title XD

What's going on people! A few things have been going on for me, preparing for a trip, renovation in my room, sleep ( lol ) that i haven't really had the drive to draw digitally, but i HAVE been drawing, and i do like to share sketches here, so here goes!
First up is this guy:

I STILL don't have a name for him, can you believe it? And these are drawn from 3 separate drawings ( from a total of 4) So i've been drawing and thinking a lot about this character and i want to pair him with Ghork, but i still don't have a damn name. Any suggestion are welcome. On the left i drew him in a more serious style, then a more cartoony one, the middle is a side view and the other is a full body one. and yes, i believe i've said it already but when i sketch it's mostly tame, and i pretty much always draw the penis last.

Next up is a few various sketches

I got a book recently that does a little more in depth on the anatomy of non human creatures, it's helpful and gave me a few ideas.

I also wanted to practice backgrounds and composition and creating a scene. I'm not sure who this guy is yet, but it looks like he's found and underwater passage in a cave leading to someone's home. A wizard maybe? who knows, as long as i gave off that feel.

Now this next guy i was just practicing lips, and all of a Sudden i created another O.C XD

He's Max, the tall Goblin. Goblins are usually short and pudgy so he was very fun to draw. It was also fun to try something different with the eyes and go for more of a cute look. Heart undies FTW haha.

Next i drew Abe, for the first time Traditionally too

Now this i drew just to relax, i didn't focus much on shapes and a lot of stuff which is way some things looks a little off, but it was fun to draw him again, i think i was practicing eyes while doing this XD. Meh, can't exactly remember.

Next is Dimitri

Now there was a time on the y! gallery when there was a Design your own elf contest, and i drew Three Elves, Blad, Rence and Dimitri that you can see Here, Here and Here . Of the 3 Dimitri was overall better received, and i actaully drew him afterwards but nothing i felt like finishing and posting. But if you've read my comments on the y! then you know that i've been revisiting my old O.Cs and drawing them again. Here Dimitri looks much more serious, more then i wanted, but it's still worth sharing.

Finally here is Achaim the Barbarian.

It's been YEARS since i drew him. I would say more, but i'm saving that for his own post since i finished and colored him.

There are a few other sketch that i have here too, but i'm not posting them for a few reasons :).

Anyway, hope you enjoy! And I'll be back on track soon. I've got a few things i wanted to draw and i have a few request in the waiting still so hopefully there will be more soon!
