Oh my god ! i think i'm gonna cry .

Hi everybody !! Well, i have a confession to make. My little art hiatus isn't the only reason i haven't been drawing lately, the other reason is because i've stumbled upon a Goldmine of FANTASTIC gay themed movies !!

It all started with "Formula 17"

This is a Taiwanese movie, which means subtitles, but i'm used to that. This movie is a Hilarious and a light hearted romantic comedy that settled and sealed my decision for the past (and possibly following ) week ! which of course was " I HAVE TO FIND MORE OF THESE MOVIES !!".

The funny story is that i totally download this movie by mistake ! lol. One of the best mistakes i've made in a while indeed ! so off to the internet i went and discovered a goldmine !

The second movie that i loved so much that i've seen 4 times in 2 days on this growing list of movies is "Latter Days". I must say that i absolutly love this movie and that i could watch it over and over and never get tired of it. This movie has great actors ,a great story and a romantic tale that will touch any and everyone that sees it. I have a strong heart and don't get persuaded or touched by much, but this movie made me almost cry 3 TIMES the first time i watched it !!! The funny story behind this one is that i actually saw the movie on Youtube !! lol, the entire movie is actually on Youtube and divided into 11 parts beleive it or not.

The third movie i saw was the Funny ass film "Another Gay Movie"

This movie is Largely and by all means a Gay parody of the movie "American Pie". But in all honestly i laughed and enjoyed this movie so much that i saw it much more as a gay version of "American pie" rather then a parody, because it does great hommage to a lot of elements in gay culture. This sex comedy is definitly top of it's class and has some hilarious moments and a funny/outrageous cast.

Now onto the Best Movie ( in my opinion ) of this category that i've seen so far , and that's " Beautiful Thing ".

I'm not sure if it's because i related so deeply to this movie or not, but this is by far the most OUTSTANDING AND DOWNRIGHT BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE !! This movie actually made me CRY !! that has NEVER happened before !! The story is so sad and beautiful at the same time that it's a refreshing splash in the face. This movie is a realistic and honest look into the lives of two teenage boys who discover their emerging sexualities and love for each other while dealing with the problems of their own lives. This movie's only downfall would have to be it's sometimes overwhelmig british accent, but that's it. The cast in this movie is Fantastic and so beleivable it's scary. I can't give you any more details because you simply have to see this movie for your self.

My hunt continues as i'll try to find more of these Fantastic and worthwhile movies and share them with you. I'm already looking foward to watching " Just a Question of Love", which is french so i won't mind, " Summer Storm" which i've heard is great, "Adam & Steve " lol the name says it all, "Bishonen" which is another oriental movie, "Burnt Money" Which i've heard is the Spanish Version of "Brockeback Mountain" and a Really good movie, "The Journey of Jared price" that's about a gay guy that doesn't want to accept his homosexuality or the love of his friend, "Regular guys" that's a german film that i've heard is just great and funny, and " Out of Hand" that's caught my attention because of all the positive things i've heard about it... *inhale* phew, lol

i hope you check out these movies and tell me if i've missed any that you think are good.

P.S : yes, i have seen Brokeback Mountain by the way, and i loved it, but i though that it was more about two straight guys that happen to love each other and have no idea where to go from there, than a gay themed movie, which if i'm not mistaken is what it was supposed to be, just a really good movie. ;)

Hello everyone ! First and foremost i'd like to say that i'm TRULY sorry for the lack of new art on my part, but between the reason i gave you all in one my previous post, being busy and having not a lot of free time, and not mention AN EARTHQUAKE !! i can't seem to get things in order, at least not yet anyway...

I've got some new stuff for you all but that will all come...in time my friends...in time ... lol.

So now, let's focus on this post ! I've decided to color an old sketch of mine, that you might remember from my Y!gallery. Of All my past work ( lool, even thow it hasn't been THAT long yet ) this one was and is important to me, because it raised the bar for me. Of all my old sketches, this is the one where i think i did a really good job with the anatomy and muscles of one of my characters. Obviously, this guy is one of my creations, and therefore one of my ocs, so you might see more of him in the future :).

So in the end, as a treat for you and for me , i've fused together and old sketch and my new coloring style to give you different versions of my beautiful Angel ...

Busy Busy Busy

Hey yall, i'm just giving you a quick message since i'm so busy. I got a new job that has me spending one more hour then i used to when i worked at my old job. Also i've BARELY had time to draw in these past few days ( bummer... ) But ! i might have a new charcter to show you guys soon since i'm almost done with the pencils, and he is the main villan of the Freelance ( i'll post different versions here but will only post the "clean" version on the y! ) . Aside from that, and as if i wasn't busy enough, i FINALLY GOT SUPER MARIO GALAXY !!

Let me assure you, what you've been hearing about this game is true ! everything about it is simply FANTASTIC !!! i've only got 27 stars so far (yes unfortunatly i'm THAT BUSY !! ) and i'm planning on playing this game a lot more !!

3 Dudles and a Note

Hello everybody ! Well i was working at my new job, and i got bored and started doodling my Characters. It's the first time i did some straight to ink work, and please note that i did this out of boredom, so it's not my best, but on the other hand, some of them don't look that bad ...

I started with Justin, my Red headed, top notch fighter. Here he's sporting his Umbrella dagger, which opens up inside the stabbed victim's body...well...like an umbrella... so if you get stabbed by even the tip of this small wonder, prepare to be ripped to shreds...Yikes...

Next, i did Xy ( pronounced "sigh" ) in the first stage of the " Blue Beast", the secret weapon that lies within him that once destroyed half of their world ( the Freelance ). Xy's "inergy" (the term used for the amount of energy that a freelancer possesses, similar to chakra or mana ) is the highest to ever be recorded in history. Xy is hunted down frequently because of the fear that he might lose control again and destroy everything, But Justin and Arden are always by his side, no matter what.


Last, i did Arden, Xy's brother (only Arden knows that of course ). He has the second highest inergy to ever be recorded in history and is a master inergy user as well as a very skilled figher. Here, since the tattoos on his chest are reversed, he's using a vast amount (but not all ) of his inergy. The attack he's using here is his signiture "Black Picture". All those who have been struck by this attack and managed to survive have all become blind and paralysed until Arden feels otherwise.

As you can tell, my 3 O.Cs are friendly and sexy, but a real force to be reckon with !

The Note

Everybody, please don't worry too much about me. I'm currently dealing with a lot of personal issues, which is why i'm "disappearing" from my galleries for a little while... I took the blog thing a little personally because i needed some feedback on my work, since something in my life isn't going right regarding the subject of me drawing... so no encouragment from my real life and no support from my net life resulted in a very bad combo... i'll try to be back on my feet soon, i don't blame anyone, and i'm trying to fix things up on all fronts... Bye for now .

My Top 40 Favourite Games of All Time !!!

Hey there yall ! hehe, well, i've played SO MANY games in my life that i just couldn't narrow it down to a " Top 10 " or even a " Top 20 ", so i did a Top 40 !! So here we go #40 to #36:

#40 : Battalion Wars

Will probably go down as one of many most underrated games of all time. Battalion Wars made it into my list because unlike other war games, it was different and fun. The characters were totally cooky and off the wall and the game was not too shabby graphic wise. Different units in your battalion, ground and air vehicules, and always a different strategy could be used to complete the primary objective. A lack of multiplayer did hurt thow, because this game had some serious potential.

#39 : Mario & Luigi : Superstar Saga

I absolutely LOVED this game ! Who would of tough a Mario game would make such a great RPG and that one of the greatest adventures of Mario and Luigi's lives would not even take place in the Mushroom Kingdom ! This game included long hours of play, a great story, funny characters, difficult bosses, items, minigames, bros attacks and one of the most MEMORABLE and ORIGINAL musical scores to ever be heard in a mario game till this day ! #38 : Street fighter II

Simply a classic. What more could i possibly say ?

# 37 : Super Paper Mario

Not only is this game a MUST-HAVE and INSTANT Classic for Wii owners and Mario lovers everywhere, but it's also a great love story !! And yes, i was shocked too ! When i realised how much i wanted to beat this game just to know the story of Timpani and Blumiere, i saw that Nintendo knows how to deliver and great platforming RPG as well a great story. Great characters and hilarious moments too... this game is simply a must and one of my favourites of all time !

# 36 Starfox Adventures

This game was just amazing, and YES ! The infamous " Zelda with fur" game has made it to my list. Honestly i don't care what people think, this game was Long, Fun, and boasted some of the best graphics you could ever see on the Gamecube ! And even though it strayed from what people call "the classic star fox experience", it was still a great adventure game, which in my opinion is what it set out to be in the first place. Infact i think i "appreciated" this game even more because we finally got a chance to know who was the pilot behind the arwing and we were introduced to the lovely character Krystal. In the end i think i even Praise this game more then i loved it for it's fantastic efforts.

Coloring the Dark Magician : Part 1

Hey yall !! This isn't exactly a coloring tutorial, but i thought some of you might like to see how i color my work, so i chose my "Dark magic Attack" work for you guys !







Step 1 : Scan that sucker !


You might not think this is part of the coloring process, but it's important. After you've finished your line art (which i might do another post like this for in the future ), having a good clean scanner and a fresh paper on which your line art is that's not bent or dirty will me the coloring process much easier.

Step 2 : Clear that sucker up digitally !


Now i don't think every artist does this process, because it's not entirely necessary, especially if you've either inked your work or think that your lines are strong enough already. I don't most of the time, so i open up my handy picture editor (i use a software called Photo Suite ), adjust the constrast and VOILA !! cleaner looking line art !

Step 3 : a dash of color !

I use Open Canvas to color my work, the really old one though. You can get it for free here http://wistinga.online.fr/opencanvas/, you have to pay for newer (and i presume better ) versions of open canvas. Anyway, back to what i'm supposed to say here. (lol)

If you know what colors you want to use, that's already a good step in the right direction. Ctrl + Z is your friend, don't forget to use it when you make mistakes or want to experiment on what colors might look better for you.

Open canvas works with layers, so don't forget to open up a new one every time you want to tackle another phase of the coloring process. By the way, you should always divide your layers in different phases. I do the skin first, then hair & clothes, extra ( if there is another extra piece that's not human, like an object or item, for example my dark magician's staff here) and i always do backgrounds last.

Step 4 : Let there be light !

This is important and should be thought about as soon as you finish the line art. I'm talking of course about the the light in effects and shading. Now I don't know about you guys, but i can be pretty lazy sometimes , so upon experementing with open canvas i found an easy way to do it, and that my friend is the art of layer copying ! Layers are the key to my coloring style. But i won't go into detail... i've said to much...

The Under Grand Hotel

Have you ever surfed the net and discovered something you consider a "Hidden Gem" ? Well i have when i discovered this fantastic yaoi comic.

Under Grand Hotel follows the story of two inmates ( Owari Sen, a Japanese exchange student convicted for murder, and Swordfish, a Black Drug Dealer crime boss and murderer ) who have both been sentenced to life in an inescapable prison where they will never see the light of day. The story quickly intrigues you as you get pulled in by the prison atmosphere filled with violence and fear and revs up as you see the beautiful illustrations and not to mention the DEVILISHLY HANDSOME AND DROP DEAD GORGEOUS CHARACTERS. Of course, this IS a Yaoi comic, so prepare yourself for some very intense and erotic sex scenes, that's right i'm talking Jail sex here.

The most entertaining part of the worlderful story would have to be the dangerous and raging romance that sparks up between it's two main protagonist, Sen and Sword, who are both STRAIGHT !!

I don't want to get to much into details because i don't want to ruin it for you, but this delightful tale includes twists, rape, violence, language, drama, and passion. It's very serious and is not all googly, sweet or sugar coated, which is something one might expect from a japanese yaoi comic, as i myself feared that the men would be too "girly", but i can garantee you that you won't find that here, which is why i strongly recommend you check this one out !
